The weekend of La Na gclub took place over the weekend in Culloville GAC. Proceedings commenced on Friday evening in the Marquee erected down in the football field grounds with a mass for all the deceased members of the club. A huge attendance was entertained after the mass with folklore from Pat McGeeney and music from Colum Luckie to keep the crowd entertained throughout the night. La na Gael

What a fantastic week of celebrations which will long be remembered by our community.

Friday evening began with our Club Mass, celebrated by Fr McKeever, to remember all within our club community who have passed on. Pat McGeeney then entertained the audience during tea and refreshments and the evening concluded with musical entertainment provided by Com Luckie.

“Culloville William O’Briens” Vrs “Culloville Sons of O’Connell”

On the weekend of La na gClub we will commemorate two of our past teams -
“Culloville William O’Briens” and “Culloville Sons of O’Connell” .

The earliest mention of a football team in our village is “Culloville William O’Briens” in 1888 and the “Culloville Sons of O’Connell” was affiliated in 1910. The now famous “Culloville Blues” club name was designated in 1916.
